About the Hike:
This hike takes you along the pyroclastic flow and debris avalanche deposits north of the crater of Mount St. Helens. You are hiking on new Earth terrain! Learn about the new plant life that is returning to this area and enjoy spectacular views of the steaming lava dome and the still waters of Spirit Lake.
Skill Level:
Easy to Moderate (no shade and no water on the trail)
